The Halloween contest

Hello all.

Hope this week has been productive, balanced and satisfying for you thus far.

As promised, here is my Halloween contest for you. Of course, we are doing scary or horror movies but we won't be doing a countdown. There are way too many out there to waste this space with another one!

I will give you the year and a brief description of the movie and you guess the name of the movie. Not too difficult I promise! This is really all about first come first serve. So if you check the blog often, you will have a much better chance of guessing first.
And what will we give you for your scary movie knowledge?? How's a $50 gift card sound? I know, it sounded good to us too.

Here are some details: As I just said, this is not about a countdown, they are in no specific order. I pretty much picked movies that I like and I think all are well known. The movies range from 1968 to 2008. Here goes:

1. 2005 - A group of ladies, a cave and some unexpected inhabitants.
2. 1973 - Based on a true story but they changed the main character's sex. The mom is an atheist, the daughter shows the mom that it's not that black and white with a little help from a young and an old priest and the oldest nemesis of all time.
3. 1968 - An unsuspecting new wife, an eerie bunch of intrusive neighbors and a new addition to the family...
4. 1980 - A writer, a hotel and the worst case of cabin fever which results in creepy twins, a disturbed child and "Heeeree's Johnny!"
5. 1987 - A puzzle, an escapee from hell and his cohorts which would scare the wits out of Freddy Kreuger!
6. 1991 - An ambitious FBI trainee and a twisted but well-mannered psychiatrist... "It puts the lotion on its skin"...
7. 1978 - Also based on a true story (Though there is controversy about it). A couple gets a real estate bargain in NY or is it?? I guess you do get what you pay for. Flies, a scared priest and eerie red eyes.
8. 1976 - She has a special talent, a ridiculously religious mom and a prom gone awry...
9. 1999 - Holy psycho bat man! I loved this movie! A widow holds auditions for dates and that's when things get really goood, or bad, depending on your gore sustaining level, lol.
10. 2008 - A young ambitious reporter hitches a ride to a fire and it all goes downhill from there. This is a remake of a Spanish film made in 2007. Both extremely good!
11. 1976 - OK, I was only going to do 10 but I just loove this movie. A little kid, a rottweiler and a very protective nanny...
